“I don’t pick the numbers or figures” – Southampton flop on…

first_imgSpanish news agency EFE features a pretty good interview with Southampton loanee Guido Carrillo this week. The striker was very open about what happened to him in the summer, when he renewed his loan deal at Leganés, a club he’s happy at.The player makes it clear he pushed for the move so he could stay in Spain, and had to convince the Saints to let him leave again.“I spent two months without training here with the first team and without playing football in England. But I don’t see it as an obstacle. Every time I feel better but beyond that the important thing is first the group. And we aim together to get it going,” he said (via Eurosport.es).“I stated from day one that I wanted to return. I feel very comfortable here. I know there was a big effort from the club, a big effort from me too. But sometimes it doesn’t depend on one but on the two clubs. Everything went until the last day. They were two difficult months but they are already in the past. Now I am focused on this season.”On the money Southampton paid to sign him, Carrillo says it’s not his concern: “It’s a normal matter, when you invest a lot of money you want to recover it. But it’s not for me to talk about that, I don’t pick the numbers or the figures. I try to play football and nothing else. Everything external does not have to affect the player.”And when asked if it’s true that Getafe tried to sign him in the summer, Carrillo insisted that his idea had always been to return to Leganés.“The truth is that something came to me but nothing concrete. The idea was to return to Leganés. I had other things but I have prioritised this project. I insist that I’m still happy to have chosen it.”Southampton signed Carrillo on a €22m deal from Monaco in January 2018. He only made 10 appearances for the club in that season, and left on loan to Leganés the following summer, now having his spell renewed for another year. His contract with the Saints runs until 2021.by Taboolaby TaboolaSponsored LinksSponsored LinksPromoted LinksPromoted LinksTrending TodayForge of Empires – Free Online GameIf You Like to Play, this Game is a Must-HaveForge of Empires – Free Online GameUndoDating.comTop Successful Single Men in Tung ChungDating.comUndo聽多多 Hearmore.asia1969年前出生的香港居民現可免費試戴頂尖的歐洲助聽器聽多多 Hearmore.asiaUndoHero WarsGetting this Treasure is impossible!
